Seelonce, Action Art Actuel Gallery, 2008

This installation is based in a set of photographs taken in an abandoned NORAD bunker, at North Bay, Canada. The word "seelonce" is a distress signal used in air and sea rescues, and it's based in a phonetically English transcription of the French word ''silence'' (silence). The same kind of transcription is used in the more known "mayday" signal, also from the French "m'aidez" (help me).

The artist acknowledges the support of the Canada Arts Council and the Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec for the production of this project.
